Professor Donovan has taught and continues to teach in a variety of venues.

  1. to undergraduate and graduate students in universities.
  2. to executives (CEO's, CIO's, CFO's, vice presidents and managers) in sponsored courses including SAP, Oracle, HP, IBM, NCR, AT&T, Unisys, Lawson and Citigroup and others.

The format of these programs are one- or two-day events focusing on such topics as

  • a model for innovation
  • change management
  • economics
  • cases
  • technologies

Teaching with Professor Donovan included MIT professors Negreponte, Madnick, Rockhart, MacAvoy, Harvard professors Roger Porter, Joseph Bedaracco, Graham Allison, Al Carnisel, Jim Cash, Nolan, Cavana and others.

All programs would and continues to implement overnight a mega-demo demonstrating a business solution of a problem given to the "demo team" in that class.

  1. We include several sessions that resulted in humor.
  2. Training - Professor Donovan conducts and has conducted technical training. Most notably for AT&T. The key to these AT&T programs was excellence in technology training (a series of four two-week courses) but also a change in the culture of the students from a monopoly to a sales and service culture. Hence a holistic course which included visits to museums, Professor Donovan's home and intense homework.
